Putting African and Caribbean voices at the Heart of the Community Development Policy

  • 10:30am - 12:30
  • City Chambers, High Street Edinburgh

We have engaged the Scottish Government in discussions in numerous areas especially on the inclusion of Africans and Caribbean in bidding for government contracts and other important involvement in the government circle. This has generated a lot of interest and the government wants to discuss how this can be integrated in the policy. It also included recruitment of African and Carebean into the Council jobs. We are representing 6% of the Scottish population but this percentage is not reflected in job allocation, loans and Grant's to African Caribbean individuals and organisation. Let there be a shift in the  paradigm with your suggestions and presence at this event. This event will be chaired by the former City of Edinburgh Deputy Lord Provost, and a Director, African Forum Scotland (Steve Cardownie) and co-chaired by the Senior Group Vice President African Forum Scotland (Festus Olatunde).

Thank you as you come to voice your opinion to the government. Lunch will be served
